You’ve probably seen them roaming the skyways in small packs. The Target interns are an undeniably stylish bunch. Walking the line between corporate and creative is something they master. I spotted Sha Goode browsing in the card aisle near the downtown Minneapolis store’s front entrance. True to form, the Syracuse senior was accompanied by an entourage of other interns, but her red pleated skirt made her stand out. You know that perfect piece that can transition easily from summer to fall? Well this skirt fits that bill.
To make the skirt’s bold red color really pop, Goode paired it with a crisp white button down. She found the skirt at Forever 21 – only $13.80! And what sort of Target employee would she be if she didn’t rep something from the store? That’s where she scored her sandals – simple but very versatile in a neutral color.

Now if you’re like me, you probably find your mind is already drifting toward fall – and a brand new wardrobe. To save you some time (and money), it doesn’t hurt to invest in some transition pieces that will carry you through the changing seasons. A pleated skirt like the one featured here, or the lace version (at right) from Loft, would look just as adorable with some heeled booties and a fitted blazer. Looking for something a bit more casual for after hours? Trade the blazer for a leather bomber or a jean jacket. Layer on a scarf and tights when it starts to get chilly.
