Trends spread fast in this office. When we see something we like, we’ve all got to know more. This spring, it’s the return of the maxi dress that has us talking. Two of our own were spotted Thursday rocking this simple staple, proving that there are plenty of ways to perfect the look. A Grecian look adds volume to the otherwise columnar look or try a dainty cropped cardigan to polish your ensemble.
For the latter, we turned to Delta SKY associate online editor Amanda Hoffstrom. Her black maxi from Target got a pop of summer color with her New York & Company top. We think her fashion idol Kate Middleton would approve of the classic combination. Follow Amanda on Twitter at @takethelede.
Twin Cities Business magazine sales, events, and marketing intern (phew, that’s a lot) Mollie Engler turned up the summer warmth in the office with her bright dress from Arden B and faded jean jacket from H&M. We love the cinched waist and flowy fabric that add a touch of goddess. New to the office, Engler has been catching our eye for awhile so we approached her for her inside style scoop.
For local threads, she shops Len Druskin, but supplements her wardrobe with basics from Gap and J.Crew. Though Ridgedale works in a pinch, she prefers shopping at Southdale or the Galleria. She looks forward to the ease of summer style and loves the versatility of a comfy maxi dress. Because she’s tall and many dresses tend to hit her a little short, maxis offer her a rare work-appropriate option. Work-appropriate, indeed. Definitely co-worker approved.
