The Mpls.St.Paul Magazine office brims with savvy fashion scribes and style junkies. This week we bid adieu to three of them. But before these talented editorial interns and Style Parlor veterans embark on new ventures in shiny new cities, we’ve asked them to reflect back on memorable blog assignments, share their take on Twin Cities shopping, and reveal what adventures are tempting them next. You may know their voice and even taken a stab at their style suggestions, but let me formally introduce you to the ladies of the Parlor.
Leah Binkovitz
Hometown: Granville, OH
Alma Mater: Undergraduate School: UC Berkeley; Graduate School: Columbia University
Q: How would you describe your personal style in a nutshell?
A: My boyfriend describes my style as “hobo chic,” and I think that’s pretty accurate.
Q: Do you have a favorite Style Parlor entry?
A: My favorite post would have to be my very first post ever (read here). It was, of course, way too long, but all about the incredible insanity that was Missoni for Target.
Q: What would you say is the best bargain in town?
A: The pop-ups are my go-to for bargains. I tend to lust after things I could never buy, which is why it’s so refreshing to go to a pop-up event and be able to afford something!
Q: What is your biggest fashion weakness?
A: I love coats, coats, coats. Problem is, I don’t really like winter, so I’m hoping my wardrobe becomes obsolete with my next move.
Q: What is your next move?
A: I’m heading to DC to live with family and work as the editorial intern for Smithsonian magazine. Yay!

Linden Wilson
Hometown: San Antonio, TX
Alma Mater: Missouri School of Journalism
Q: How would you describe your personal style in a nutshell?
A: My personal style is feminine casual—I absolutely love floral dresses (I own a ton), especially when they’re paired with a cute pair of sandals or boots and maybe a colorful sweater. As long as I’m stylish and comfortable, I’m good to go.
Q: Any standout Style Parlor entries?
A: My favorite post was actually my first, featuring two lovely local ladies in super cute sweater dresses (read here). It was right at the beginning of autumn (my favorite season), so fall fashion trends were just starting to emerge.
Q: Are there any noteworthy trends you’ve spotted around the office?
A: It’s one I have yet to follow, but colored denim has been everywhere. Every time I see someone in a pair of red or mint jeans walk by, I get envious.
Q: Where do you go to snag the best deals in the Twin Cities?
A: Opitz Outlet–designer clothes and bags on major sale? Score.
Q: What’s your next move?
A: I’m moving back to my hometown to pursue freelancing opportunities and to continue my job search.

Megan Willett
Hometown: Stillwater, MN
Alma Mater: Wellesley College
Q: How would you describe your personal style in a nutshell?
A: Colorful and simple.
Q: Do you have a favorite Style Parlor entry that you wrote?
A: Probably “Look We Love: Textured Tights.” It featured our stylish Home editor Jennifer Kramer, who gives me wardrobe envy on a daily basis. (Read the post here.)
Q: What is your biggest fashion/beauty weakness?
A: I’m a sucker for new beauty products. My current favorite is Philosophy’s The Present—it’s the best primer I’ve ever tried.
Q: What is your favorite Twin Cities store?
A: Primp Boutique. The clothes are so cute, plus dogs are allowed inside!
Q: Where are you heading next?
A: New York City!!
