Whether you inherited your mom’s super-shopping skills or not, you owe the lady something special for Mother’s Day. A stone’s throw from Hwy. 94, this shopping destination has mom-approved curb appeal (including a tucked away alley filled leading to more gems) that is well worth the visit. Patina: The crowning jewel of Twin Cities quirky gift stores is nestled on the corner of this bustling intersection. In addition to the nonpareil collection of Mother’s Day cards, sales associate Erin Carson recommends perusing the store’s selection of bath and body products or Firefly jewelry. Lula: Moms are the first to tell you, vintage is always in style. Local gem Lula is one of the best destinations for retro finds in town. Owner Hayley Bush says the store’s silk scarves are a popular go-to gift for Mother’s Day, especially with youngsters. Bush’s eye-popping sundresses are another great choice.
