Updos and braids are an easy way to change up your look without breaking the bank. Buy a few hair accessories—a vintage barrette, a flower, or a metal headband—and voilà!—you have an effortlessly chic look. Add in braids or accessories to style your hair further.

Start by grabbing sections of the hair around the face and the crown of the head, pinning and designing into a bun as you go.

Braiding small sections of hair can add more texture to your updo and make your look more interesting.
