Strike a Pose: American Girl Fashion Show

In March, little ladies from across the Twin Cities will gather to celebrate 10 years of American Girl fashion, 25 years of American Girl dolls, and to raise funds for important causes in our community.

The Junior League of Minneapolis (JLM) will hold its 10th annual American Girl Fashion Show the weekend of March 4-6 at the Edina Country Club. Local little ones will strut their stuff down a runway in AG fashions during one of the six shows throughout the weekend. The VIP show on Friday night and an anniversary show on Saturday night will also feature dinner and an exclusive raffle.

This year, the JLM has also extended an opportunity for guest models to participate in the event. Girls ages 5-12 years old have a chance to be a model. Each show will feature 47 outfits from the American Girl fashion lines, which include those of Kaya, Kit, Ruthie, Julie, Addy, and Kanani. (Hurry! The application deadline is February 27. Girls can apply to be a model here).

JLM is a nonprofit organization, consisting of women who want to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve our community. This fundraising event will allow the members of JLM to continue their work to reduce the achievement gap, combat childhood obesity, and connect families through literacy.

Check out these adorable girls (below) dressed up like their American Girl dolls and maybe you’ll get inspired to sign your little one of up for this event!
