Over lunch, I stopped by my favorite Skyway convenience shop and saw a wonderful stack of Mpls.St.Paul Home magazines
on the newsstand. Yes, our latest issue is at newsstands now! If you
haven't yet seen it, make sure to grab one. (Only $3.99!) This issue is
full of fantastic design ideas—all local, of course—and the largest
home we've featured measures a whopping 1,800 square feet. The cover
home (with photographer Kim Cornelison and her husband, photo tech
Alfie Ferreyra) is only 750 square feet. Though the spaces are on the
small side, they're full of great tips for storage and personal style.
Now, I hope that big stack at the Skyway newsstand starts to shrink
soon . . .
I just picked up my copy of MSP Home. While I loved the featured homes, I must say I was really discouraged the 2/3 of the magazine was ads. I know the ads are what get the magazine published, but come on. This was over the top. Why not ask The Tile Shop to be the primary sponsor and get rid of all the other ads.
The content (what there is of it) and photos and fantastic. But I will think twice before buying another copy as I can't take all the ads. Even the section on home remodelers was one giant ad. Too bad, since Domino folded, I'll be looking for new shelter magazines.
