When: September 28-29, 2012
Why: Because Johnson Brothers Liquor Company and Mpls.St.Paul Magazine throw one heck of a party. And the proceeds benefit University of Minnesota Athletics and On the Green Line.
The Scene: Friday night was all about the glitz and glam. Guests dressed in their fall best to rub elbows with foodies in the heated VIP tent. Saturday had a more laid back vibe. Partygoers took in culinary demonstrations and watched the Gopher game on the jumbotron.
Spotted: TV personality and Mpls.St.Paul Magazine contributing writer Andrew Zimmern. The Bizarre Foods star mingled with guests, had a cooking demo, and showed off his new food truck AZ Canteen. Our own foodie team was also in attendance, including editors Stephanie March and Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl.
Eats: Guests noshed on a variety of appetizers from local restaurants. But this event was all about the wine and beer. More than 300 wines and 100 craft beers, to be exact. Cheers to that!
