Why: To get a first look at the home and mingle with the designers and owners
Spotted: Homeowners John Larsen and Mike Stewart, who looked dapper in matching pinstripe suits and colorful ties. Model Cheryl Tiegs also was in attendance.
Dress code: Summer dresses for women and bright shirts for men. My heart goes out to the ladies who wore high heels. While they looked great, they kept sinking into the backyard. (At least the homeowners got free lawn aeration!)
Memorable Moment: Touring the home, of course. While every room had interesting twists, my favorite was the art studio with a painted floor inspired by Jackson Pollock.
Kudos: Props to the sponsors who made this party happen, including Cambria, 2 Gingers Whiskey (thanks for the Big Gingers!), The Naked Grape, Seven (loved the spicy sushi), Surdyk’s (what a cheese spread), Angry Orchard, and Samuel Adams.
