Video: Macy’s Artrageous Glamorama 2011

We couldn’t have been more excited to head to the Orpheum for fashion, music, and art last Friday evening. Macy’s 2011 Glamorama was a major hit featuring stars Far East Movement (Like a G6, Rocketeer) and headliner Bruno Mars who played hits such as “Billionaire,” “Grenade,” and “Just The Way You Are.” The Artrageous theme was a perfect choice for the event, which included hints of fine art, lots of dance, music, and of course, the art of fashion.

Favorite collections that graced the catwalk include those from Jean Paul Gautier and Tracy Reese. Karl Lagerfeld’s collection for Macy’s Impulse department made its debut featuring refined dresses, modern tweeds, and his signature high-collared neck.

Although the music, dance, and fashion were a huge hit, we can’t forget the meaning of the event—to raise money for Children’s Cancer Research Fund. For nearly 30 years, Macy’s has raised $41 million for charities that help fight children’s cancer, illness, and HIV/AIDS.
