Coming Soon: Eat Shop

Well, this is a bit awkward, but …

There’s a new joint opening in the former Joe Senser’s spot in Plymouth, and it’s called Eat Shop. The guy behind the show is Michael Larson who spent the bulk of his career in Parasole, cheffing/GMing at Pronto back in the day, opening more than a few restaurants along the way, more recently on the culinary/purchasing side of the corporate coin … and he’s my husband. So there’s that.

The former sports bar is being given a remodel and a hot coat of paint, plus there’s a major expansion of the patio. The casual menu will be modern American food, scratch cooking using local ingredients, and the guy behind the stoves will be Jeffrey Anderson, last of Cafeteria. The bar will have 17 taps of mostly craft and local beer, and there will be a pretty decent-sized wine list. The guys hope to bring a little independent, food-forward eating to the area which is mostly dominated by chains. Look for a mid-September opening.

That is all.
