Aren’t you simply itching to get your farmers market season underway? What with all this teasing weather, I keep expecting to see the tents on Nicollet Mall every Thursday I drive in. Well, it’s not much longer until we can kick into high market gear, here’s a little date sheet to tuck into your calendar.

Minneapolis Farmers Market … OPEN spring market Saturdays 9am – 12pm. Season opener APRIL 21, Nicollet Mall opener APRIL 28. I need some Mrs. Kelly’s teas and some more hot sauce from that hot sauce guy.

St. Paul Farmers Market … OPEN winter market Saturdays 9am – 1pm. Season opener APRIL 28. Hoping for some maple syrup from Maple Leaf Orchard.

Richfield Farmers Market … Open MAY 5. You know this is the third largest market in the metro, yeah?

Mill City Farmers Market … Indoor market this weekend, April 14! Season opener MAY 12. #1 Chef Shack, #2 Braucher’s Sunshine Farm, #3 Shepherd’s Way, in that order.

Kingfield Farmers Market … Open MAY 20. Thinking about Bogart Loves donuts and some Foxy Falafel.

Fulton Farmers Market … Open MAY 19. I like Bossy Acres, they’re bossy.

Linden Hills Farmers Market … NEW (in the Settergren’s lot). Open JUNE 3. Star Thrower Farm is on their line-up, lovely.

Northeast Farmers Market … Indoor market this weekend, April 14! Season opener JUNE 2. Opening day comes with a pancake breakfast kickoff with real maple syrup!

Midtown Farmers Market  … Open MAY 5. This market is 10 years strong, I will miss the Magic Bus, though.

Goose Lake Farm Market … Open MAY 5. It’s a real farm with a real market. And a winery.

Excelsior Farmers Market … Open MAY 5. New location in the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church lot.

Uptown Market … Open JUNE 10. New location in the Intermedia Arts lot and new hours run 10am – 3pm.
