Summer is here and the time is right for dancing in the streets; barring that, don’t walk, but run to Thousand Oaks Barrel Co. and get your barrel grill. What a sweet grill and great looking to boot. Click on the “furniture” section on their site. Go to Big Ass Hot Dog if you expect a crowd this weekend at the cabin. I…
Soft Shell crab season is in full swing and, like you, I am always looking for a groovy new recipe. This one I adapted as a way to use my favorite shrimp recipe for crabs and to utilize more of the AMAZING sauce that my friends on the coast of India taught me to make several years ago. This recipe is a killer. Enjoy.
Be sure to check out Top Chef Masters when it makes its second
season debut next month on Bravo. I was involved in one of the episodes
and had a blast. I am sworn to secrecy, but I can confirm that:
A) I did the show.
B) Jay Rayner is hysterical and knows his stuff.
C) Kelly Choi is way hotter in real…
Last night I stopped by O’Garas to help out my buddy Steve and the rest of the Vulcans for a little fundraiser for Second Harvest Heartland, check out the pix in the gallery and get info about Saturday’s big event at the Crowne Plaza after the parade. After the Vulcan party we drove home but got side tracked at La Grassa…what an awesome…

who face continuing obstacle in their way to full or partial…

and a 10 day waiting period? I love that! Well, here is another
food truck debuting in St. Paul. Bravo to…
Last week my pal Shane sent out an e-mail to his best and most well-traveled buddies. He and his family have had a crazy year and are going to do a big family trip this coming March. So he asked his peeps where they would go for a truly memorable two-week family vacation. Here are just a few of the ideas the six or so…
Last weekend, I was at the Food & Wine Experience at the Kohler
resort in Kohler, Wisconsin, about an hour north of Milwaukee. Make
your reservations for next year now, and you’ll thank me for giving you
the early heads up on this Food & Wine Magazine-partnered
event. Jaques Pepin, Ulrich Koberstein, Marcus Samuelson, Jon Ashton,
Claudine Pepin, Tory Miller…
Well, let’s be honest. I owe everyone an apology. I was shooting for
the last three weeks in the far reaches of Indonesia, had no web access and
couldn’t update the blog. I hate it when that happens on the sites I
follow regularly, so mea culpa.
Anyway, in all fairness, I couldn’t
tell you what the hell is going…
