About The Slaughter:
Operating on the theory that there is nothing more local than something millions of us consume in bed, sometimes between our feet, this blog draws short, direct lines between what we see, hear, and read . . . and why. Money isn't the only explanation for the personalities, cultural cues, and political manipulation that comes at us like research-tested banshees from every direction and dimension, but it sure covers a lot of it. What is left after you set aside hard cash are matters of unchecked ego, cowardice, incompetence, and nepotism, all of which make good stories.
