We’ve definitely had Hopkins native Nate Berkus on the brain lately. He has a new book out, The Things That Matter, and a new line for Target—in case you missed it, check out shopping and style editor Allison Kaplan’s post on shopping with Mr. Berkus at the Minnetonka store…boy, did I choose the wrong Target to shop at last weekend!
I hate to hit on the cliche, “when one door closes another one opens,” but rather than dwelling on the end of The Nate Berkus Show, this guy is launching things right and left and then popping up on the cover of what could arguably be the king or queen of all shelter magazines, Architectural Digest. I’ve been devouring this magazine since Margaret Russell took over as editor. She’s transformed it into something exciting, energetic, and cool without losing its regal authority. Putting Nate on the cover is just another step in the right direction. If you haven’t checked out a recent issue of AD, give it a spin and let us know what you think. Until then, here’s a preview of Nate’s Manhattan pad.
