Homework: Painted Clawfoot Tub

I’ve been spinning the wheels about redoing our master bath. After giving our kitchen a makeover a la Julia Child, I’m inspired to do the same for the bathroom, although I know this one’s going to take a whole lot more than a coat of paint. First up, the actual bath. I’m a tub person and while I like the bubbles and jets, I keep going back to the lovely, iconic clawfoot. It’s not as practical with no surround to set things down, like magazines or kids, but I can’t get it out of my head. Since we live in a relatively new-build home (that unfortunately has a generic bathroom), all bets are off in terms of what era we need to stick to. So this time I’m thinking of finally going for the painted black exterior with white interior. The contrast is pretty dreamy and seems to work old in both modern and classic settings.

Love how Jenna did black chalkboard paint on the walls
