Prabal Gurung for Target: Miniaudiere in Nolita print, $34.99

Prabal Gurung is not necessarily a name that rolls off the tongue (is it GAH-RUNG or GOO-RUNG? RANG?), but it’s about to become a whole lot more recognizable with the launch of the New York designer’s Target collection on Sunday, Feb. 10. Gurung started his eponymous designer brand just four years ago, and already he counts Jennifer Lawrence, Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey and First Lady Michelle Obama among his customers. For Target, Gurung designed a pretty-meets-punk collection of short dresses, pleated skirts, leather jackets and lace trimmed tops in hot hues and bold prints. Read: Fabulous if you’re 20. Honestly, I’m not expecting most of the apparel pieces to work for me, but I must have the mini bag in the multi-colored painted print. The collection includes apparel, jewelry, handbags, and shoes. Prices range from $19.99 to $199.99.
