Miss Wu, spring 2013

Jason Wu’s new contemporary label, Miss Wu, debuts today, exclusively at Nordstrom. It is available at 49 Nordstrom stores, including Mall of America, and Nordstrom.com. The 40-piece collection includes dresses, pants, jackets, skirts, kits and blouses priced between $195 and $795. Feminine, yet more casual and playful than Wu’s signature line—downtown, to Jason Wu’s uptown, if you will—this first collection of Miss Wu is subtly ’60s inspired, incorporating whimsical prints, hand painted stripes, brightly hued tweeds, bows and leather details. Don’t worry about fighting over pieces with First Lady Michelle Obama, who put Wu on the map when she wore his gown to the Inauguration four years ago. She got hers early, and has been rocking Miss Wu for weeks. The rest of us will find it in Nordstrom’s Via C department.
