Continuing its quest for unique shopping center concepts, Shops at West End in St. Louis Park will welcome the Brush Studio this winter. Think paint by numbers meets wine bar. Brush Studio offers painting courses where participants spend two to three hours following the instructions of an artist to recreate a famous or well-known painting–with wine or beer to get the creative juices flowing.

“It’s a great way to spend a few hours with friends having a few drinks and making great art,” owner David Forbes said in a statement. Brush Studio will also offer corporate team building and other events.

Brush Studio will be located across from the new phresh spa salon, in the covered walkway off the main drag. Shops at West End is hoping this is the start of a true lifestyle wing with a focus on service and experience businesses. Rumor has it a yoga studio is close to signing a lease. Stay tuned!
