Finally, Pink Champagne has some company in the walkway off the main drag at Shops at West End. Phresh Spa Salon is now open, and it looks great. Owners Rick and Tracy Fiebiger wanted to bring the flavor of the historic home that Phresh occupies on Grand Avenue in St. Paul. Of course their new West End location is more open and modern, but with timeless touches, like the brick walls and ornate ceiling panels that float below the exposed pipes. I love the pedicure stations—they feel tucked away, and yet offer a sun drenched view of the walkway. Behind the front desk is a serene waiting area, stocked with drinks and magazines. Phresh offers facials, massage, body wraps and waxing along with hair and nail services.
I wondered if West End could support a full service salon, but parking couldn’t be easier if you use the underground lot (beneath Anthropologie). Take the center elevators up and you’ll find yourself right across from Phresh. Try it tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 29, when I’ll be there broadcasting Shop Girls live—with my mom!—from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on myTalk107.1. But the real reason to stop by during the show: half off your first service and a $10 gift card to Phresh if you take a tour and book while we’re on the air. There will also be giveaways, complimentary make-up touch ups, polish changes and, my favorite, chair massages. See you there!
