Funky shoe brand John Fluevog is opening in Uptown, at the corner of Lake and Lagoon—in part of the Uptown Theater space, confirmed retail broker Jeff Herman, president of Urban Anthology. The Fluevog website says the store will be open before the end of the year. Fun fact: Fluevog’s grandfather settled in Minnesota when he emigrated from Europe. “We’re so excited to come to Minneapolis! This is kind of like a Fluevog homecoming!” reads a message on the website. The company is also hinting at a men’s and women’s shoe in limited edition colors, exclusive to Minneapolis.
