Selby Shakeup

In case you missed the news in Tuesday’s Swag (and if you did — go sign yourself up for Mpls.St.Paul Magazine’s weekly e-newsletter so that never happens again): Allee Metro Chic is on the move again—this time just next door to 495 Selby Ave., St. Paul. Allee is bringing in a new partner to share the space: Shayne Brown Barsness, who is known for her chic spin on repurposing both furniture and jewelry. Of course, her store on Nicollet is called Style Minneapolis, so Barsness says she’ll be rebranding for the expansion to St. Paul. Meanwhile, Allee’s move makes room for Blooma—the prenatal yoga center plans to relocate from Grand Avenue.

“Blooma and I are so excited to be in an amazing area of St. Paul,” owner Sarah Longacre says. And  June Berkowitz, the owner of Allee and Nina’s Café, and unofficial Selby Avenue ambassador, is thrilled for the addition of a business that will draw hundreds of women to the block every week. Look for changes by August.
