There’s a new young contemporary resale store in town–Edina!–where you don’t have to sacrifice brand names or current trends to get a decent deal. Uptown Cheapskate at Yorktown Mall is half resale of gently used apparel from mall brands like Gap and Express. The other half is discounted new clothing and accessories for guys and girls–overstock from popular brands including Urban Outfitters and Buckle.

Uptown Cheapskate looks like any teen store, with neat, organized racks and display tables. The price for that pleasant shopping experience is ticket prices that maybe aren’t quite as low as they would be at a bare bones outlet. This reseller pays cash or store credit on the spot for gently used clothing. Expect to get around 25 to 30 percent of the value of the items.
