I had a fabulous experience today at Juut’s New Artist Academy in Uptown, where blowouts are now just $15. You’d never know this was a training salon–it has the same calming atmosphere and professionalism as any other Juut Salon Spa. The fact that the stylists–who have completed beauty school–are green just makes them that much more conscientious and eager to please. Robbie, who is moving to Juut in Edina later this month, treated me to a mini head and neck massage–by far the highlight of my day. He brought me water and even asked if I wanted a complimentary makeup touch-up when he was finished. The shampoo and blow dry took close to an hour–it was clear Robbie wasn’t just drying my hair, rather, styling it with the blow drier and round brush, one section at a time. My hair feels silky smooth. It’s perhaps a bit straighter and flippier than my ideal, but then, I am overdue for a haircut, too. I would highly recommend Juut in Uptown for a blowout: you get the total salon experience at an amazingly reasonable price.
