Still dancing around naming stores that will join Forever 21 in filling the Bloomingdale’s space, Mall of America announced two stores taking spots in other parts of the mall: Athleta, which hit the market last winter with a store at 50th & France, will open right outside Macy’s when J.Jill moves to the second floor. And Juicy Couture will open its first stand-alone Twin Cities store on the first level, south side of MOA. Yes, it feels about 15 years after the fact, but do remember that Juicy, now owned by Fifth & Pacific Companies (formerly Liz Claiborne Inc.), is a whole lot more than blingy velour jogging suits, offering a huge range of women’s fashion, accessories, shoes, fragrance and more. There are more than 100 Juicy stores and outlets in the U.S. Sometimes, we have to play catch up.
Meanwhile, the newly renovated Maplewood Mall will welcome Bristow’s in August. The motorsports store, offering apparel and accessories for men and women, has stores in St. Cloud, Duluth and Mankato.
