I’ve never understood the appeal of fake food. A wax likeness of a chocolate cake is just a big tease, not to mention a magnet for dust. And this is what I found myself pondering as I walked through Parmida Home, now open at Shops at West End in St. Louis Park. It’s a huge store, especially considering the emphasis on candles, festive tableware, and yes, fake fruit, fake hunks of cheese and fake desserts. Parmida also sells (real) tables, chairs, rugs, art and other home decor.  It’s always nice to have new options for home accessories and hostess gifts.
