Many designers work their entire careers for the kind of success Wayzata native Alex Davis has found in just three fashion seasons as the founder and creative director of luxury boot and accessories brand Cobra Society. The globetrotting Davis was inspired by North African kilim fabrics. A boot devotee–credit her Minnesota roots–Davis sewed one-of-a-kind rugs to the shafts of boots, and Cobra Society was born. The brand has already been recognized by fashion magazines internationally and is popular among celebs including Jessica Alba (who actually paid full price for a pair!), Beyonce, Olivia Wilde, and Alexis Bledel.
