Since relocating from the Galleria, Mary Lauer’s home design store is less shabby, more chic, with a streamlined selection of luxe home accessories, art and furnishings. There’s more focus on interior design services—and more space to showcase fabrics, furniture and even a nursery vignette, while maintaining a contemporary airiness. I love the simple takes on message art—of course, it turns out Que Sera carried those at its former location. Amazing how a new space can make everything look so fresh. 244 Water St., Excelsior
