Alial Fital at the Masters

Bo Van Pelt, headed to Masters in Alial Fital

Gibran Hamdan, former NFL football player turned menswear designer, is not much of a golfer. So he didn’t realize that the Bo Van Pelt who had purchased more than a dozen of his Alial Fital shirts was a professional golfer until he happened to flip past a tournament on TV. Even then, it took Hamdan a minute to make the connection that the Bo Van Pelt on the PGA tour was the same Bo Van Pelt who had become one of his top customers. (Hey Hamdan, his name isn’t exactly John Smith!)

Once they connected the dots, Van Pelt–who ranks among the top 50 golfers and has had a few top 10 finishes—asked Minneapolis-based Alial Fital to sponsor him on tour. That inspired a new golf collection that debuts next week, just in time for the Masters tournament. The performance shirts have Alial Fital’s signature styling, with  contrasting print collars, but they are made with moisture-wicking material and UV protection. There’s also a welted pocket and logo on the arm.

Orders can be placed online starting today. The shirts, $85, will begin shipping on Friday—just in time for the Masters. And you can be sure Hamdan will be watching this year.
