From save-the-dates to thank you–notes, MaeMae Paperie by Megan Gonzalez creates customized designs that help reflect the mood and style of any bride and groom. This timeless and creative stationery is something that couples will be able to admire looking back years from now.

Rather than just slipping in names and dates into a template, MaeMae recreates a representation of a couple’s stories and dreams on paper. “You really can start with a blank slate and create collateral to tell your story that is uniquely you and very personal,” Gonzalez says, which is why she gets her biggest inspirations for her stationery from couples stories.

“The mood they put you in, the different personalities of characters, and the real and fake places you get to travel to when you hear, read, or participate stories,” Gonzalez says. “When I work with clients I want to hear their stories and pull out details, styles, and moods that are unique to them, but when I create readymade work that is not for clients I get to create imaginary characters with rich narratives and funny quirks to direct and inspire my creations.”

MaeMae uses cotton paper for digital printing and letterpress, which makes this wedding stationery accessible for a range of budgets and still look luxurious. The designs consist of bold and clean graphics, midcentury / modern elements, lots of patterns, and unique pieces such as wax seals, coasters, address stamps and edge painting. Plus, the abundance of  textile patterns, hand drawings, and screen-printed layers make the stationery feel especially unique.
