Inspired by Minnesota winter—with its snowy white shimmer, call for cozy romance, and inherent festive qualities—Jenna and Erik Lang picked December 13, 2008, for their big day.
With ceremony and reception at the University Club of St. Paul, "The overall vision for our wedding was an elegant, romantic, all-white winter wedding filled with close friends and family and a lot of personal touches," Jenna says.
Budget savvy, the couple kept their numbers in line by focusing on key ingredients and sprinkling in DIY elements here and there. "This not only helped with the budget, but I think it brought out our personality throughout the wedding and made the event approachable and a lot of fun for our guests," she says. "They drank champagne with raspberries, had butler-passed hors d’oeuvres, ate great New York strip steak all in a beautiful, elegant space, but still felt comfortable enough to take their shoes off on the dance floor and dance the night away."

Jenna’s strapless, all lace dress with a sweetheart neckline was Natalia by Pronovias, with crystal embellishments that gave it a sparkly/icy look. To stay cozy, she had a faux fur wrap with a sparkly broach from The Brides of France.
A candle-lit aisle at the ceremony added a heightened sense of romance to the event. "I always wanted a night ceremony, and when I walked down the aisle the candles just glowed," Jenna says.
Jenna and her bridesmaids all had carried white bouquets filled with champagne, ivory, and white ranunculus, roses, and freesia with small crystal strands.

Each layer of the three-tier cake from Queen of Cakes offered a different flavor: carrot cake, red velvet, and vanilla with raspberry mousse frosting.
Fifty cylinder vases of all sizes, complete with floating candles, submerged blooms, and curly willow, lined the aisle then doubled as centerpieces at the reception.

Outside in Kellogg Park, the couple stole a few quiet moments together. Jenna notes, "I wore boots to keep my toes warm and love them peeking out in this photo."
